YOUR RIGHTS GlassArt by Jean complies with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. GlassArt by Jean is governed by Scottish Law, therefore, any disputes must be settled exclusively through the Scottish courts.
SIZES All sizes are very approximate, this is only because the pieces haven't been physically measured yet. In practice they are all made from patterns, mostly designed by Jean, and each style is a constant size. None of the pictures are to scale so these should not be taken as a guide as to the final size.
COLOURS Due to the way the colour is added to the glass, no two sheets are the same. Because of this, Jean selects the best colour combination from what she has available. This makes each piece unique. Preferences for colours can usually be accommodated but because there are also different types of glass and not all colours are available in all types, Jean reserves the right to the final selection to ensure compatability.
POST & PACKING All prices shown include post and packing to a UK address. Please contact us for prices on overseas orders. Everything is carefully packed to ensure it reaches you safely but should the unfortunate happen, we will gladly repair it.
DELIVERY Delivery will be within 28 days of receiving payment. However, as we start making items on acknowledgement of your order, you can usually expect items much sooner than this.
COOLING OFF PERIOD You have seven working days from the receipt of the goods to cancel the contract. If you decide to do so, you must notify us in writing (email is acceptable) and return the goods unused at your expense. Once these conditions are met, we will refund your money in full within seven working days.
CREDIT CARDS We apologise for not being able to order by credit card at the moment. We know that many of the advantages of the Internet are lost by not providing this facility but can only promise that it will be made available in time.
REPAIRS Our products are made from glass and need to be carefully handled by adults. The suction cups we provide are the best we can find and rarely fail. However, in the unfortunate event of a breakage, items can be repaired. The cost for this varies as even a small break sometimes means that several pieces of glass have to be replaced to ensure uniform colours. The most common break occurs when butterflies are pushed onto the window using the outer edges of their wings. To avoid this, gently push the butterfly from its 'body'.
WINDOWS Jean does not make stained glass windows. These are made of heavier glass and use lead between the glass pieces whereas Jean uses a special copper foil. Stained glass windows therefore need heavier tools that we don't possess.
PROBLEMS WITH THE SITE Many sites do not render on all browsers, this can be the fault of the browser or the way the page has been written. It is our intention that this site works with as many systems as possible, if you find any problems when browsing our pages, we would be very grateful for feedback.
