Malcolm Aldridge is a highly qualified, independent business and management consultant with 25 years experience in general management and consultancy. He has acquired a multitude of skills in the fields of management processes, engineering and support chain logistics. He is a Member in the Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC), which is affiliated with the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI). Malcolm is also a NLP Master Practitioner.
Malcolm was born in St Albans in 1957. He joined the Royal Air Force from school, progressing through the ranks and gaining the Queen's Commission in 1982. He trained as an Aerospace Engineer and was the top RAF student of his year. This led to a variety of demanding leadership and management roles, mostly associated with the Harrier 'Jump Jet'. During his time he saw service in many parts of the world, including a 5 year spell in Germany and nearly 3 years in the USA. Malcolm has proved particularly effective in the areas of personnel management and working with public sector organisations and their interface with private industry.
He gained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with the Open University in 2000; specialising in Strategy; Managing Change; Scenario Forecasting; Knowledge Management; and Creativity, Innovation & Change. These studies in particular led to new opportunities in Consulting and he left the Royal Air Force to establish his own company, Solution Management, in Scotland.
Malcolm uses his wide range of skills to compose a holistic view of an organisation's needs and then provides practicable, affordable and innovative solutions to increase an organisation's efficiency and effectiveness. His approach is to provide solutions that achieve immediate benefits and long-term sustainability by creating a competitive advantage that gives stability whilst planning for the future.
